ARTICLE NO. × FOSS 051X “Burger Skate” Canvas Skate Shoe Launch

This season, FOSS FW22 has created its own coastline, inspiring everyone to live with optimism, keep dreaming, and pursue freedom. By infusing everyday joy into its designs, FOSS gives new meaning to each piece—so that even those far from the shore can sink into soft sands and warm sunshine, and embrace life, dreams, and freedom.
This release continues the story started by ARTICLE NO.’s “Seaside Twin Cities,” encouraging listeners to follow their inner voice and find the state of being that feels most comfortable. Drawing on ARTICLE NO.’s FW22 “Burger Skate” 051X as the foundation, the two brands have teamed up to produce a second wave of the collaborative “Burger Skate” canvas skate shoe.
Inspired by the ’90s classic “bun” skate silhouette, the ARTICLE NO. × FOSS 051X “Burger Skate” features a three-panel, earth-tone leather upper. The off-white calfskin toe cap transitions seamlessly to sand-hued suede at midfoot and light-gray suede at the heel—evoking the sensation of walking barefoot on fine coastal sand.
At its core, the newly designed chunky outsole is the soul of the “Burger Skate.” Its light khaki hue blends naturally with the sturdy upper, creating a harmonious fusion of old and new. A cutting-edge lightweight rubber compound reduces discomfort during extended wear, balancing functional performance with street-ready style. Subtle ARTICLE NO. branding at the heel and a FOSS logo on the tongue denote this special collaboration.
The ARTICLE NO. × FOSS 051X also comes with two sets of laces: original hemp-rope laces for an outdoorsy feel, and wide off-white cotton laces for those who prefer a heftier, traditional skate-shoe look—opening up even more styling possibilities.
On September 23, the ARTICLE NO. × FOSS 051X “Burger Skate” will debut and go on sale exclusively at the FOSS in77 Lakeside Yintai store in Hangzhou. The “FOSS Remake Handmade Burger Workshop” will open simultaneously—where participants can craft a mouthwatering “burger” from garment scraps, deepening the connection to the shoe’s concept.
Shortly thereafter, the ARTICLE NO. × FOSS 051X “Burger Skate” will be available for a limited time via the FOSS Official Mini Program and at these FOSS locations: MixC in Shenyang, Sanlitun in Beijing, IFS in Changsha, MixC in Hangzhou, Zhongjie in Shenyang, and Huafu Tiandi in Shanghai.
